Life Below The Surface - An Underwater Art Exhibition
Andreas Franke | Staudinger + Franke
Andreas about the images “Mystified scenes of the past that play in a fictional space. Dreamworlds, where you can get lost or you can identify with. This makes a new and unexpected atmosphere.”
Since August 4th 2011 divers can benefit from a very special experience and find a package of 12 images placed on the hulk of the artificial reef General Hoyt S. Vandenberg located 100 feet below sealevel and approximately seven miles south of Key West.
An Underwater Art Gallery exhibited on the wreck of the Vandenberg near Key West / Florida.

Octopus is a limited edition bronze sculpture by Kirk McGuire
McGuire on his project:
There are hundreds of cephalopod species around the world. This is my interpretation of the largest species known: Pacific Giant Octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini). Recordings show it reaches 600 lbs. At least 100 of the cephalopod species have three hearts. They are all amazing and as fluid as the oceans in which they live. They are intelligent with a highly developed brain and acute vision, and are masters of camouflage.
Day 10 sketch! This one got a little.. experimenty. Because I don’t draw nearly enough people with spider parts grafted to their skulls.
omg i wish i was a spider :(
